Rob and his family have attended Summit Trace Church since 2001, shortly after they moved to Frederick and Summit Trace Church was formed. Since that time, Rob has served on the set-up, media, and worship teams, led small groups, served as a member of the leadership team, and occasionally preached during Sunday services.
Rob was ordained and began serving as Associate Pastor in 2015. He has served as Lead Pastor since October 2019 when Pastor Dan Housam departed, with the blessings and support of Summit Trace Church, to help restore an ailing church.
Rob continues to work for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration where is manages projects to transition new ocean mapping technology to meet the agency’s needs.
Rob’s wife, Lora, is the art teacher at New Life Christian School in Jefferson, MD and leads women’s small groups and the Prayer Team at Summit Trace Church.
Their children, Sam and Nadya, grew up and discovered their own callings at Summit Trace Church. Sam is pursuing opportunities to use his civil engineering degree to meet the practical needs of the people he will serve through international missions. Nadya is studying to become a Child Life Specialist to help children cope with the challenges of hospitalization and illness.
Rob’s hope as lead pastor is for everyone to experience the joy he and his family have gained from discovering, pursuing, and fulfilling their individual calling in service to Jesus Christ.
