OUR STORY

Summit Trace Church (STC) started as a church plant in 2001 the grassroots way, families meeting together and serving the needs of the Frederick community by performing random Acts of Kindness (AOKs) throughout the city of Frederick. STC spent 13 years meeting in Westview Movie Theaters followed by Lincoln Elementary School, before moving to our new full-time facility at Pegasus Court.

We partner with various organizations and agencies around the city, The Frederick Rescue Mission, CareNet Pregnancy Center, and the Frederick Running Festival, in order to meet needs and share the love of Christ in tangible ways. We began a partnership with the Lincoln Elementary School faculty and staff prior to meeting there on Sunday mornings and continue to value that relationship and serve the school through volunteer efforts and giving to meet practical needs.

Because of our history as a church plant, we desire to be a church that plants other churches. We support various church plants around Frederick County and enjoy fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ when we gather together.

STC regularly steps outside the boundaries of our local community by partnering and sending people on mission trips around the United States affected by natural disasters in order to share hope and meet physical needs. We are also a church who supports believers internationally, engaging prayerfully with the global Church and sending people out to continue sharing the Good News of Christ, equipping and training believers all over the world.

At STC we believe our purpose is to refresh, equip, and support individuals, ministries, and churches to serve God locally, nationally, and globally. We have a desire to see people experience the love of Christ and come to know Him in a real, life changing way. We are happy to meet you wherever you are, encouraging and walking alongside you as you experience God and His plan and purpose for you.
